Celebrating Transition in the Diocese: Two Worcester Events
The Episcopal churches of Worcester invite the community to mark an important season of transition in the diocese with two special gatherings this April.
Celebration for Bishop Douglas Fisher
Parishioners from across the Worcester Corridor are warmly invited to a celebration honoring the ministry and leadership of The Right Reverend Douglas Fisher as he prepares for retirement. This joyful service of thanksgiving will take place on Sunday, April 12, at 3:00 PM at St. Matthew’s Church, 695 Southbridge Street, Worcester, MA. All are welcome to give thanks for Bishop Fisher’s years of service and witness in our diocesan community.
Watch Party for the Consecration of Bishop‑elect Miguelina Howell
As the diocese looks ahead with hope, everyone is invited to gather for a watch party celebrating the consecration of the incoming bishop, The Very Reverend Miguelina Howell. The watch party will be held on Saturday, April 25, at 9:00 AM at All Saints Episcopal Church, 10 Irving Street, Worcester, MA. Join fellow Episcopalians to witness this historic moment together and welcome a new season of leadership.
Ladies Gathering
The women of St. Michael’s—of every age and stage—are invited to a new monthly gathering on the second Saturday of each month. (Note: in January, the meeting will be held on the 17th, but afterwards it will be on the second Saturday of each month.) This will be a time for connection, conversation, laughter, and the joy of simply being together. Questions about this gathering should be directed to Kim Rossi.
For our February gathering, we’re asking each person to bring a favorite recipe—something meaningful, delicious, or simply too good not to share. We hope to collect these treasured dishes and begin shaping a St. Michael’s Recipe Book, a celebration of the flavors and stories that make our parish family unique.
